Stage 8 covers basic floats, glides & movements in the water, & on poolside, to refine the basic body positions for diving. Stage 9 introduces jumps, rolls & falls from poolside as well as further developing & applying body shapes. Stage 10 introduces the arm swing to jumps from poolside & builds on both forward & backward skills in the water & from poolside.
Once swimmers have completed diving stages 8 - 10, they can go onto a diving club!
Each year in the summer term Fins Swimming Club run Introduction to Snorkelling courses as well as advanced Dolphin Snorkeller courses for those who have completed the introductory course.

Introduction to Snorkelling Course
The aim of the lesson is to go through the very basics of snorkelling – learning how to fit and wear the equipment correctly and safely, how to use the equipment and learning various breathing exercises.
In order to take part in the lesson, swimmers must be over the age of 7 and must have achieved Stage 6 and above. Each session will have a maximum of 8 children.

Dolphin Snorkeller Course
Completion of the Introduction to Snorkelling course and stage 8 and above is REQUIRED in order to book into the Dolphin Snorkeller course.
This course is certified by the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) and Swim England. The course comprises 7 levels and will be a two week course running at Farnborough Hill School.
