Why do Farnborough Fins teach different strokes? PDF Print E-mail

At Farnborough Fins we aim to teach all four strokes (breaststroke, backstroke, front crawl and butterfly). The toddlers learn back and front swimming, when they progress to Beginners they also learn breaststroke and front crawl. Some children find certain stokes difficult to master and so by teaching all strokes they are given the opportunity to excel in at least one of them. This not only makes their recreational swimming more enjoyable but also provides variety in the lessons, and keeps their interest.  Once the children are at Improver level they also learn butterfly ready for any transition into swimming clubs.
